BMW Motorrad opens new factory in Brazil, Manaus
Manaus, Brazil is where BMW Motorrad is expanding after having invested 10.5 Million Euros in a new facility, which is also the 1st outside Germany for this purpose. The first model to be produced in Manaus is the BMW F 700 GS. The facility has a capacity of producing 10,000 motorcycles per year, has 175 employees and 45 different suppliers.
BMW’s Production Director, Peter Vogel, said this unit will allow a “better response to local demand, which is something important for our business in Brazil.”
