Laos: The sun rises and it’s time for breakfast and this time, joining us was Cris and Alex. After two hours, we took off from The Elephant Crossing Hotel in Vang Vieng and headed towards Luang Prabang. We passed through the hilly routes while enjoying the lovely scenery. The quality of the road was not that good and there were quite a number of potholes.
At noon, we stopped at Kasi to cook our own lunch and paired it with some rendang that we brought along. The journey throughout was rather challenging due to the rocky and narrow roads. Meanwhile, we got to absorb the never ending beauty of Laos and we also got to witness the lifestyle of the people in Kasi. Just like in Vang Vieng, the life of the children was hard as they had to work at such a young age. They carried wood and helped the family make a living. We got to take pictures with the children and we also gave them some biscuits befoe we left.
At 7pm, we reached Pumalin Villa in Luang Prabang. After we settled in, we had our dinner in Nazim Restaurant and walked around the city to enjoy the view since the city was known for being one of the “World Historical Towns”.
