Kawasaki’s Naked Releases: The New Z650 and Z900
The immense cult following for naked bikes translates to how manufacturers at Intermot 2016 release more and more “nude” motorcycles. To match the demand for naked motorcycles, Kawasaki is releasing the new Z650, and the updated Z800 which will now become the Z900.
The Z650 is the supposed replacement of the ER-6n. The Z650 will benefit from many new advancements from its predecessor such as weight reductions, ABS, and a slipper clutch.
In addition to the Z650, Kawasaki is replacing the Z800 with the Z900 for 2017. The Z900 will use a 125 horsepower 950cc motor that is based off the Z1000 engine block. New features of the Z900 include ABS brakes, a slipper clutch, and rebound / preload adjustable suspension.
