Boon Siew Honda Celebrates 132% Sales Achievement!

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) celebrates as it concluded the sales achievement at 132% in its last fiscal year.

“We managed to achieve beyond our target, many thanks to the support of our dealers, employees, business partners, and most important of all, our customers”, shared by Mr. Nobuhide Nagata, Managing Director and Chief Executive Director of Boon Siew Honda.

Further to fulfill the market demand more precisely, BSH has since defined its model line-ups into three main categories, namely – Sports, Lifestyle, and Premium. Sports line-ups are valued by most customers as they specifically satisfy customers who values high speed. Thus, BSH strived to provide the best of its sports models by introducing highly demanded models and also a series of events to support.

In June 2016, the introduction of the highly anticipated RS150R has led BSH to a great milestone. Just after the model’s first 2 months delivery in the market, BSH successfully organized the first & biggest RS150R convoy in Malaysia, with approximately 180 riders.

Honda Asian Journey, a cross country collaboration event, with Honda Genpo in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, was also one of BSH’s biggest events. As the event was in conjunction with MotoGP Race 2016, it attracted more than 80 riders to ride from Sadao, Thailand to Sepang, Malaysia.

In Jan 2017, 1,500 units of Limited Edition Wave Dash were introduced. It was a hit and success as many positive feedbacks were received, especially on its unique design which inspired from sport model CBR650F, the affordable four-cylinder middleweight machine.

The new color of CB/CBR500 and CB/CBR650F were introduced in August and December 2016 respectively to capture big bike market share.

With the rapid growth of young customers in the market, BSH also extended its business focus towards the youths. 2016 was a year where BSH stepped out from its comfort zones, as it introduced Lifestyle models and held unconventional launching gambits, appealing to youngsters.

Honda BeAT was launched to students in University Kebangsaan Malaysia last November in order to reach youngsters’ market more effectively. This eventually increased the interacting opportunity between Boon Siew Honda.

“We heard the market voice, so MSX125 exist in the Malaysia now” proudly added by Dato Sri Datuk Wira Tan Hui Jing, Deputy CEO and Chief Sales Officer of Boon Siew Honda.

In conjunction with the MSX125 launch, BSH also held a media gathering night, featuring Asian and International Honda riders (Zaqhwan Zaidi –ARRC 2016 Champion and Khairul Idham Pawi – 2016 Argentina & Germany Moto 3 Winner) as the night special guests. MSX is a “customize lover” bike, that’s why they were shown in customized unit and also continue being displayed in one of the famous café in Penang.

Without forgetting the appeared of Honda EX5 Fi Special Edition which also was limited to 500 units, it was customized by Boon Siew Honda to suit the youngster preference.

The new design for 2017 Wave Dash Fi was inspired by the combination grey military camouflage and geometric graphic fashion design. It was the first time for BSH to launch the mode with a fashion show.

While looking into the Premium series models, Honda PCX featuring high technology scooter with eSP, Idling Stop and Anti –Theft Alarm Key was refreshed to the market with two premium color in April 2016.

To challenge Boon Siew Honda’s confidence on the quality, Honda Future Fi was introduced with a 3-year warranty on engine.  To improve the exterior experience to the customers, Honda Wave Alpha was also introduced in new color and targeted at youngsters market.

Furthermore, the consistent good quality and performance had gained Boon Siew Honda several giant corporate sales, too. Besides celebrating the success of many new models, BSH was also proudly announced as the first two-wheel manufacturer in Malaysia that obtained Energy Efficient Vechile (EEV) certification for its five models: Honda EX5 Dream Fi, Wave Alpha, Honda BeAT, Honda Future Fi and Honda Wave Dash Fi.

Honda Motorsport event achieved flying colors in 2016 session. Locally, Honda was able to sustain the performance in CubPrix. In Asia level, Zaqhwan Zaida, 20 years old young rider managed to obtain his 2nd Rider’s Championship in 2016, while MUSASHi Boon Siew Honda team secured five consecutive win from 2012 – 2016.

In MotoGP, Repsol Honda Team successfully won the Overall Team Champion title. The champion rider, Marc Marques also achieved his fifth championship in his racing career. Malaysian rider, Khairul Idham Pawi, another young race brought up by BSH started his race in Malaysia CubPrix One-Make-Race. Since then, he conquered the Champion of Moto 3 race in Argentina and Germany, subsequently being promoted to Moto 2 category based on his outstanding performance. All these successful achievements definitely call for a celebration for everyone in BSH.

“132% sales increment and 5% market share growth were indeed not an easy task for all of us but it really motivated us to work even better. Thank you to all who have supported BSH. We will continue our challenging spirit and bring more new and exciting models for Malaysia.
