Harley-Davidson has introduced its new Sport Glide motorcycle at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan today. The new custom cruiser had said to have made a great first impression with its versatility and quality.
The bike can switch up from aggressive cruising to weekend touring duty in a matter of seconds. The current model is said to the ninth model churned out from the Harley-Davidson Softail platform.
“The Sport Glide offers the thrilling dynamic capability of the new Softail platform with features that make it suited for both commuting and light touring,” said Dave Latz, senior product planning manager at Harley-Davidson.
“Its factory-custom design speaks to modern performance and contemporary style.”
It has a detachable fairing and saddlebags to complement its stunning appearance. The fairing is shaped to deflect wind away from the rider’s chest when the bike is in use. It is secured with fork tubes with quick-release clamps, simplifying the handle of the fairings. As for the saddlebags, it is lockable and rigid and also can be removed according to the rider’s preference.
The seat height hits 25.7 inches with forward-mounted foot controls. It also features a 107 V-twin powertrain. Other standard features include the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), electronic cruise control, a USB charging port, keyless ignition and the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System are all standard features of the Sport Glide.
