Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO, is now the chairman of the MSMA

During the MSMA (Motorcycle Sports Manufacturers’ Association) meeting held at Jerez, las weekend, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali was chosen to be the new Chairman of this association for the next two years.

This is the return of an Italian motorcycle manufacturer to the top of the MSMA, and shows how important Ducati has been in the development of the motorcycle racing.

“It is an honour to accept this role, both in person and in my capacity as CEO of Ducati Motor Holding”, commented Claudio Domenicali on thanking the assembly for the nomination. “Ducati now holds this position for the first time in twenty-seven years of MSMA activity. In facing up to this task, we are fully committed to making an important contribution to the further growth and professionalism of the sporting activities that see the participation of the world’s most important motorcycle manufacturers”.

The MSMA, formerly known as GPMA, was established in 1992 to represent the interests of manufacturers involved in racing. Claudio Domenicali takes the lead of this association from Katsuhide Moriyama (Honda Motor Corporation).
