Ducati to auction the 12 Panigale V4S from Race of Champions

The World Ducati Week is fast approaching – from 20 to 22 July – and at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit everything is getting ready to welcome the thousands of Ducatisti expected to be there, celebrating the Ducati brand, this year with a special moment, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Monster.

At WDW Ducati has planned a lot of activities, on and off the track, but one thing every Ducatisti and race fan hopes to see, is the Race of Champions.

On track we will see 12 Ducati riders racing each other in Misano, using special prepared Panigale V4S bikes, boasting special liveries according to each rider, and also using special race parts.

The riders that will compete at the Race of Champions are Dovizioso, Lorenzo, Petrucci, Miller, Melandri, Rinaldi, Pirro, Abraham, Rabat and Forés, MotoGP and World Superbike riders. Apart from those, Ducati has also invited Troy Bayliss to join the party, while Chaz Davies, factory rider for the Italian brand in World Superbike, is out of the race because of a broken collarbone, and will be replaced by Xavier Simeón.

The auction starts next Saturday at 18h00 (Central European Time), and will close the following Saturday at the same time, also CET.

Each bike will be delivered as you see in the photo, and plus an authenticity certificate signed by Claudio Domenicali himself (Ducati CEO), all the parts needed to run the Panigale V4S on the road and each bike will have a plaque to show that that particular unit was used at the Race of Champions, while each rider will sign his bike to give it a bit more appeal to potential buyers.

Be sure to pay attention to eBay from next Saturday onwards! Who knows if you can get your hands on one of these 12 unique Panigale V4S.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
