The American motorcycle manufacturer plans to evolve its business into new segments, and the brand-new electric bike LiveWire – of which we’ve got new details here – is just the tip of the iceberg. At the latest Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Harley-Davidson took the opportunity to reveal a couple of concepts, with the most important one being the electric scooter.

This electric scooter is clearly something a rider would love to ride around town. Low seat height, simple and yet futuristic design, a flat seat for ease of movements, and a chopper style handlebar featuring rear view mirror. The big and round LED headlight completes the look of this interesting concept.

But that’s not all!

Besides the electric scooter, Harley-Davidson also revealed during the CES 2019 a second concept. It’s also an electric bike, and the looks of it point to something more in the lines of a mountain bike rather than being a motorcycle.

Fitted with large wheels and rugged tyres, long suspension travel and big ground clearance, this electric bike should be a lot of fun to ride in mountain trails.

There’s no word if Harley-Davidson will make the transition from concepts to production versions of these two electric bikes, but considering the American brand plans to have many new models in a short time span, and have more electric motorcycles in its portfolio as well, we expect these bikes will be the base of a new breed of Harley-Davidson bikes.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
