Indian Motorcycles to feature its new Thunder Stroke 116 in 2020

Thunder Stroke 116 is Indian Motorcycle’s largest engine production.

Indian Motorcycles be coming up with its largest engine yet for the new 2020 standards. The Thunder Stroke 116 was an upgrade for the Thunder Stroke 111 engine but now it will be featured in the brand’s touring and bagger bikes. This proves that there is a replacement for displacement in American cruiser and bagger-style models.

Indian Motorcycles made the announcement on Tuesday and stated that the new twin engine comes with a plethora of new adjustments. According to Robb Report, the Thunder Stoke 116 resembles a retro air-cooled engine. It comes with modern features such as rear-cylinder deactivation. This is great for cooler riding when temperatures exceed 59 F and the bike stops. This would be very helpful for riders in heavy traffic.
