Supercharged engines seem to be the new hype in Akashi. Kawasaki has launched three motorcycles using forced induction engines. After the groundbreaking H2R and its street version H2, we watched the arrival of the touring variant H2 SX.
Now, Kawasaki gets ready to launch a new supercharged Z model.
The new supercharged Z hasn’t been seen in any spy photos. But Kawasaki has turned up the heat on this bike with a set of teaser videos. The second video was made public recently, and in this video we can see new details.
For example we can clearly see that the new supercharged Z gets a small front screen. Probably enough for the rider to hide behind it and get a bit of aerodynamic protection at high speeds.
There’s no information if the new Z gets an inline-four cylinder engine with 1000 cc. Some Japanese magazines have been saying that this will be the engine powering the supercharged naked. But there are no confirmation about this.
What we also can see and confirm on the video is that the engine will fit inside a trellis frame. Painted in green, as it should be in any Kawasaki.
Last, but not least, the dashboard seems to be the same we already know from the H2 bikes. Fully digital, the TFT color screen reveals all the usual riding aids like traction control and riding modes.
