During the Top 10 Trial session, it was Thai rider Somkiat Chantra (Honda Asia Dream) who got off to a better start. The Honda seemed to be unbeatable, but Morbidelli made sure to give home crowd reasons to be happy. The MotoGP rider did the fastest lap of the session.

This way, Yamaha Sepang Racing starts in front of Honda Asia Dream. FCC TSR Honda France will start behind these two in hopes to fight for the win.

The 8 Hours of Sepang starts at 1pm and since sunset in Malaysia is at 7pm, the race will end at night.
