If you are a fan of striking appearances, you would definitely enjoy this custom Golden Eye beauty. The Indian F 1200 is more than just a flat track favourite, people all over the world are trying to get their hands on the bike. France’s Thomas Castany of Indian Metz managed to get one and gave the bike a custom treatment, dubbing her ‘Over Light’.

The FTR 750 dominated its first three years in American Flat Track racing. The road-going version was very race-inspired and was a sales success. With that in mind, Indian Metz decided to customise the FTR 1200 in order to amp up its road and race flavours. According to Pipeburn, Thomas headed to America to the Indian headquarters and met Roland Sands and Travis Pastrana.

Soon he grabbed the FTR 1200 S model with three rider modes, which capped a weight at 235kg. The first thing Thomas thought of was to shed some pounds by adding carbon fibre.

Thomas removed the stock tank covers and added on carbon to the bike. Then, he stripped off the radiator guards and went with alloy covers. He also removed the front guard and replaced it with carbon fork covers and a set of race plates.

As for the bike’s exterior, AR Performance handled the paint and graphics to make it stand out. The carbon pieces were spray-painted with a gloss black finish. To give it a more glamorous touch, they added gold and white pinstriping to break things up neatly. Then, they laid down a silver contrast panel and the race team-inspired number. To finish off the bike, Thomas also had the idea to spray paint a coat of gold and did some lettering on the replica Dunlop DT3-R tyres.

Not to mention, the bike comes with an eight-valve V-twin engine. It has a smooth torque and is able to scream out loud at 9,000 rpm. In order to not add too much weight to the bike, Thomas added on S&S Grand National Slip-On mufflers in stainless steel with a carbon fibre cover.
