Swag EV, or Supreme Wagon Automotive Group Electric Vehicle, was just recently launched in Thailand. It is a producer of eco-friendly motorcycles with a very modern design. The Swag EV bikes feature removable batteries that can be plugged into any electric socket. It is a highly adaptable product. It takes approximately two to three hours to fully charge the bike. After a full recharge, it will be ready to go for about 90 kilometres.
Currently, there are two models of the Swag EV in Bangkok. The Type S has a price tag of 62,900 Baht whereas Type X is 65,900 baht. Both the bikes come with 2000W brushless hub-motors developed by Bosch. As for the electric bikes’ detachable 60-volt, 26 AH battery, it is a product of Samsung.

Thailand has the highest motorbike use in the world. Almost 90 per cent of households owning at least one motorbike. There are about up to 20 million registered motorbikes. In a busy city like Bangkok, commuting by bike is the most cost-efficient mode of transport. Due to the lack of alternatives to petrol-powered bikes, motorcycles remain the major factor for air pollution.
