2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Launch

Folks! the Suzuki Hayabusa is back! Following a lot of rumours and speculations, the legend is finally making a return this year! Suzuki Global just put up a teaser post which confirms the arrival of the next-gen Suzuki Hayabusa. How do we know?  Just check out the official teaser below!

The video gives a sneak preview of the upcoming bike blasting around a test track. Detailed specifications of the next-gen Hayabusa is scarce. However, we managed to pick up a few things from the mini teaser video.

All-new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa

Starting with the design, the model appears to feature an all-new fairing design with a revised headlamp and taillamp unit as well.

On the inside, speaking of the instrument cluster, the entire instrument panel design has been updated. The face of the new instrument panel is an analogue 180mph (290kmph) speedometer and an analogue rpm gauge with fuel & temperature gauges at both ends. Compared to the earlier model, a new multifunctional colour TFT instrument panel is neatly tucked within the centre part of the instrument panel. Thanks to this, it gives us a clue of the bike’s electronic package.

The word “SDMS” on the TFT panel stands for Suzuki Drive Mode Selector. Suzuki’s DMS system allows the rider to select a map to suit various riding conditions; this system can be found on bikes like the new 2021 GSX-R750 and GSX-R600.  Moreover, besides the usual fancy electronics, judging from the lean angle dial on the instrument cluster, we think the Busa might roll in with a sophisticated active suspension set up as well.

In the case of the powertrain, besides the Euro 5 compliance, we think Suzuki has done some work around the engine and gearbox to keep up with the current competition. Well, for now, only time would tell.
