Rumours of the return of the Honda Dax made the headlines after disappearing for more than 40 years in the two-wheeler world.

Japanese motorcycle magazine, Young-Machine, also published a ‘rendered’ image in February that depicts the appearance of the Dax. Not to mention, Honda finally unveiled the ST125 Dax for the global market via a global launch that took place on Monday.

Introduced as a 2023 model, the Honda ST125 Dax will join Honda’s MiniMoto portfolio which is lined with Monkey and MSX125 Grom.

The new generation ST125 Dax is powered by a 124cc SOCH single-cylinder engine with air cooling capable of generating 9.25hp and 10.8Nm. Engine power is then channelled to the rear tires via a 4-speed transmission with the help of a ‘centrifugal’ clutch.

Weighing just 107 kilograms, the ST125 Dax comes with a 31mm ‘upside-down’ fork, twin rear shock absorbers, 12-inch rims, and full LED headlights.

This latest Honda motorcycle also comes with a digital LCD display and a full chrome handlebar.

Interestingly, compared to the Monkey 125 which can only be ridden by one person, the use of an iron frame allows this ST125 Dax to accommodate riders and pillion riders.

The ST125 Dax also comes with a 220mm front brake disc, 190mm rear brake disc, hydraulic brake callipers and single-channel ABS.
