There is no doubt that the demand for ‘adventure’ segment motorcycles has been increasing over the past decade

As a result of the high demand, global motorcycle manufacturers have been gearing up to introduce more ‘adventure’ motorcycles that are not only modern but also affordable to target buyers who refuse to spend more than RM100,000 for an ADV.

In that regard, we see brands like Benelli becoming increasingly popular with the TRK 502 X, Honda with the CB500X and the latest CFMoto 800MT.

Most recently, QJ Motor decided to hop on the bandwagon by unveiling the SRT 700 X in Europe.

Featuring a 689cc parallel-twin engine with liquid cooling, the SRT 700 X offers 73.5hp at 8,000rpm and 63.7Nm at 6,000rpm. Although not as powerful as the Honda XL750 Transalp and V-Strom 800 DE, this model definitely wins in terms of this price. The SRT 700 X is available in Europe at a price of only EUR 6,999 (RM34k).

Other features of the bike include a brand new aluminium ‘swingarm’, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear rims on the X variant and 17″ front and 17″ rear on the standard variant. In addition, this ADV model also comes with full LED lights, dual-channel ABS, front 4-pot radial caliper brakes and a TFT meter panel.

Interestingly, the SRT 700 X is also equipped with a ‘heated grip’ function.

Currently, there is no information on when the SRT 700 X will be introduced in Malaysia. But as always, stay tuned for more updates.
