YART Yamaha EWC Team all geared up to tackle Oschersleben 8 Hours

YART Yamaha EWC Team is set to take on the Oschersleben 8 Hours after enduring a tough run in the 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring.

The YART Yamaha EWC Team will be taking part in the Oschersleben 8 hours in Germany for the fourth round of the FIM Endurance World Championship this weekend. Riders Broc Parkes, Marvin Fritz and Niccolò Canepa have accomplished the challenging 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring in May. The team is adamant on providing a good performance this time around. Last year they were forced to retire from a strong position. The weather would not be a great challenge for the team. They have proved themselves in all sorts of weather conditions this year. They mastered the rain in Slovakia to take the win. Therefore, with the current sunny weather forecast for this weekend’s race, the team has high expectations for this race. The team is currently fourth in the standings with 87 points. Yamaha leads the manufacturer standings with 153 points.

“Hopefully we can carry on our form from Slovakia Ring and try to win at Oschersleben. The points are close at the top and we need a good finish here to go to Suzuka and fight for the championship. I felt really good on the bike in testing yesterday and my injuries from Slovakia are better now, so I feel confident for Germany. Our team is strong and the bike is quick, and I think we can fight for the victory,” says Parkes as quoted from Yamaha Racing.

“After the victory at Slovakia Ring we are much closer in the championship and our aim for the Oschersleben 8 Hours is to score as many points as possible. The weather looks to be hot so it will be a demanding race for sure, as we know from previous years at this track it is a challenging race. Everyone else is strong this year, but we are ready to challenge and to fight for the best result we can get.”

“We had a good day of testing on Wednesday at Oschersleben. The target for the race is to fight for the victory, we’re coming here from a win in Slovakia. We know we are strong at this stage in the championship. The title is still open and we can win it in Suzuka so we need to score some big points to do that. Oschersleben is a good track for Yamaha and for the team.
