SYM Jet X 150 is coming to Malaysia soon!

SYM Malaysia’s latest teaser post suggests the arrival of the SYM Jet X 150. Here are the details!

In November 2020, SYM Malaysia announced that SYM Jet X 150 and Jet 4 RX would both be making their way to Malaysia by this year, 2021. Coming back to the current topic, the latest teaser post by SYM Malaysia suggests that the official launch of the SYM Jet X 150 is very near.

Back in November 2020, MForce announced that the SYM Jet X 150 would be launched in the first quarter of 2021. However, according to sources, the launch of the SYM Jet X 150 has now been pushed back to Q2 of 2021. We think it’s because of the ongoing pandemic and we speculate the model to be launched in Malaysia by April 2021.

Speaking of the bike, the SYM Jet X 150 is the flagship model of SYM’s Jet lineup. In fact in markets like Thailand, the Jet X 150 is rebadged and sold as Drone 150 under the brand, GPX.  However, in the case of Malaysia, the model will be badged and sold as a standalone SYM product. Having said that, the full list of specifications haven’t been announced yet.

Previously MForce announced that SYM Jet X 150 would feature an array of top of the class tech and would be powered by a liquid-cooled 149.6cc 4 valve single-cylinder engine. Speaking of electronics and rider aids, the SYM Jet X 150 is expected to feature full LED lighting, an adjustable windshield, a modern LCD instrument cluster and a keyless system.

Additional speculated details based on the GPX Drone 150:

In the case of braking, the GPX Drone 150 comes equipped with hydraulic disc brakes on both ends. Meanwhile, a telescopic front fork and a pair of preload-adjustable shock at the rear take care of braking duties. On the creature comfort side, the Drone 150 gets 15-litre storage and a USB charging socket. We think the incoming SYM Jet X 150 would also be spec’d similarly. The GPX Drone 150 does not get ABS, however, there is a slight chance that the Malaysia-bound SYM Jet X 150 would get ABS as standard. Well, as specification are market-specific, we just need to wait for the official launch to know the full details.
