Most of the world’s motorcycle manufacturers have begun to make strides by establishing collaborations with other manufacturers in an effort to penetrate a wider market.

For instance, BMW has established cooperation with Indian company TVS Motor Company for the development of the G 310 model. It also worked with Chinese company Loncin for the C 400 X/GT, F 850 GS and F 900 R/XR models.

Triumph Motorcycles joined the bandwagon and is about to introduce a debut model. The model is likely under 500cc. This model is a collaboration with the Indian giant, Bajaj Auto.

Bajaj is also the party responsible for producing the 400cc and below models for KTM which includes the Duke 200, 250 and 390, 250 and 390 Adventure and RC 390 models.

All of these models are selling well, especially in the Asian and European markets. The collaboration between the two brands recorded sales of over one million motorcycles.

The success was not only due to the affordability factor, but KTM’s sub-400cc model line, especially the 390 model. The model managed to attract the interest of not only new riders but also experienced riders.

For the record, Bajaj is also responsible for producing Husqvarna models including Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 and 250.
