Syarifuddin Azman or better known as Damok will be the country’s sole representative in the 2023 MotoGP World Championship. The prestigious championship will be opening its veil this February starting with the official test session.

The 21-year-old rider will make a full appearance in the Moto3 class with the MT Helmets-MSI team in partnership with Diogo Moreira.

MotoGP riders will be travelling to the Sepang International Circuit for the Sepang Shakedown session and official testing. In the meantime, Damok may go to Spain with his new team.

“For now, I am making preparations in Malaysia. I will probably participate in the test (with the team) this February in Spain. Before this, I had undergone a test with the team,” he explained.

Despite having to adapt to a new machine and team, Damok has high hopes of winning the title of ‘Rookie of the Year’.

“If possible, I would like to win the title of ‘Rookie of the Year’. I will try to get as many points as possible,” he added.

Competing with a KTM machine, Damok will start his first campaign at the Portimao Circuit, Portugal from March 24 to 26.

What is even more challenging is the fact that Damok will be performing in the month of Ramadan (fasting month).

Stay tuned for more updates.
