High spec NSS300 set to conquer mid-size maxi scooter market

Penang, 13 June 2017 – Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd (BSH) today launched its all new premium NSS300 high-spec mid-size scooter and compact Honda PCX Smart in Blue (click here for more details on the PCX), raising the bar in the scooter market as luxurious personal comfort motorcycles for easy daily commuting, blending agile performance with indulgent features. Both models aim to provide the best premium riding experience to all Malaysian scooter enthusiasts.

We had the opportunity to ride the NSS300 at the Sepang International Circuit (of all places!) during BSH’s Buka Puasa event recently (click here for our report of the event). Every journo who rode the NSS300 came away surprised not only at its high level of comfort, but also its sweet handling around slow and high speed corners.

Where most – if not all – scooters would wobble when cornering at high speeds, the NSS300 absolutely railed through Turns 3, 5 and all the way through 6 which led back to the front straight (the event only utilised the North Track). There was also plenty of power from the engine, without feeling stressed. In fact, there was power everywhere in the powerband and it came on in an exceptionally smooth manner.

With its tagline of “My Life, My Story, My NSS300” it is a sleekly styled, easy to ride daily commuter with excellent comfort and value. Focusing on the premium side of the ride, BSH has focused on the look and feel as the key aspects of the NSS300. This premium mid-size scooter oozes prestige and quality in your everyday ride.

“Since the NSS300 made its world debut 17 years ago and launched in 2014 in Malaysia, it has evolved to exceed riders’ expectations of what a scooter can be. Overall, NSS300 is about sporty performance and safety, excellent build quality combined with value for money and durability, all rolled up in a stylish package which appeals to both novice and veteran riders alike. The bike also comes with ABS braking system for safety, big utility box for convenience which can accommodate two full faced helmets and more space for other items such as a rainsuit.

The NSS300 comes in three colors: the new Candy Caribbean Blue Sea, besides the existing Pearl Himalayas White and Seal Silver Metallic. The recommended showroom prices start from RM 30,727.28 with GST but excludes road tax, insurance and registration. The model also comes with a two-year or 20,000-km manufacturing warranty (whichever comes first).
