CHOOSING THE RIGHT HELMET

There are many types of helmets out there and choosing the one can be an understandably daunting task (budgets notwithstanding). However, motorcycle helmets are basically divided into the few basic types, with each serving a different segment. So choose one depending on your intended usage. For example, don’t choose an MX helmet if you only ride in dirt once a month then ride on the road for the rest of the times. You should get one road helmet and another MX helmet in this case.

Also bear in mind that helmets generally have a 5-year lifetime. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never dropped it or involved in an accident.

Lastly, make sure your helmet is in good condition. Wearing a bad helmet defeats the purpose of protecting your head.
