TVS Apache RR 310 teased online – to be launched in India on December 6

With just two days to go until the launch of the TVS Apache RR 310 in India, the Hosur-based manufacturer has published a quick ten-second teaser of its soon-to-be flagship motorcycle. The new two-wheeler can trace its origin back to the TVS Akula 310 that made its debut in 2016.

While the teaser rightfully hides a fair bit of detail, viewers will be able to note that the new motorcycle will feature dual projector headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRL), LED taillights and graphics highlighting the brand’s 35-year long involvement in motorsports.

The TVS Apache RR 310 will be powered by a BMW-derived 313 cc, single-cylinder engine – the same mill can be found on the BMW G310R. In the BMW, said engine puts out a total of 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, so expect power figures to be within the vicinity in the case of the TVS Apache RR 310.

Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Other goodies include gold-finished upside-down forks (USD) in front and a monoshock setup at the rear, 300 mm and 240 mm disc brakes front and rear respectively with ABS as well as a fully-digital instrument cluster.

Prices are expected to fall within the vicinity of Rs 1.8 lakh (RM11,352). Natural competitors for the TVS Apache RR 310 will include the KTM RC 390, Benelli 302R and to a certain extent, the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
