Kawasaki kick-starts 2018 with third new variant of the Ninja ZX-10R

2018 is definitely serving the bikers good as there are many new and upcoming bikes to get excited about. This start of the year brings bikers the new 2018 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R SE, featured in the January 2018 issue of Roadracing World & Motorcycle Technology.

The new model is the third variation of the Ninja ZX-10R which was released three years ago. The current model is much different than the old one as it now comes with several new features. The bike now has Showa electronic suspension that reads suspension travel every millisecond and adjusts the rebound automatically and compression damping to adapt to different conditions.

The bike features a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder DOHC, 4-valve, liquid cooled engine with a displacement of 998cc. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission and seal chain final drive. For the front suspension, it has a 43mm inverted Balance Free Fork, KECS controlled compression and rebound damping, manual spring preload adjustability. As for the rear suspension, it comes with a horizontal back-link with Balance Free gas-charged shock, controlled compression and rebound damping, manually adjustable spring preload.

It caps a curb weight of 208kg and as a seat height of 32.9 inches. The bike comes with two colour options: Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Graphite Gray. It has a fuel capacity of 4.5 gallons.
