Harley-Davidson trademarks ‘HD-Revelation’ for new electric bike?

The new electric Harley-Davidson motor is likely to be called “H-D Revelation” as the American top gun has filed for an application to trademark the name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for batteries, chargers and motorcycle powertrains.

The engine that HD electric bike will carry will enter production in the next 18 months. The engine family that is featured in the Sportster lineup is namedly the Evolution and the engine for the entry-level Street bikes is named Revolution X, a derivative to the V-Rod.

However, Harley-Davidson has yet to confirm the name of the new bike. The firm has laid down trademarks for names such as “Bronx”, “Pan America” and “48X”, hinting for new models but none of these appeal to us as the names of an electric bike.
