Have a look at this insane Vespa 50 Special build with a 600cc transverse four-cylinder Yamaha FZR600 engine!

We have featured a few crazy builds from the 250cc inline-four Honda Super Cub to the Honda MSX with the Ducati Panigale 1199R engine. Well, for this week we decided to feature something that would boggle your mind. Have a look at this Vespa 50 Special with a 600cc transverse four-cylinder engine from the Yamaha FZR600!

The 600cc Vespa

No, it isn’t photoshopped, it’s an actual build from Italy! Aside from looking all Frankenstein, the bike is actually functional. Overall, the build looks well-engineered and executed…..we think.

Looking at the build, aside from the Vespa chassis, seats and lights, everything else have been swapped out alongside the engine.

Since the new engine is obviousy bigger than the stock 50cc engine, our friend decided to cut off the chassis and retro fitted the engine on the floor board infront. Because of this, he decided to add in a set of aftermarket footpegs on side, which makes the riding posture a bit….interesting. As the bike is now heaviery, our guy decided to take off the stock side panels and shove in custom swingarms and a set of aftermarket suspension. Aside from this, stock rims and brakes have been replaced as well. What’s power without decent stopping power, right?

Additionally, since the new engine gives more omph factor, the owner added in an aftermarket tachometer. The video uploaded on youtube says, this build puts out 78,26 hp and a max torque of 56,07 Nm. Want to hear the WTF part? It says the bike could reach a top speed of 192 km/h! Eh….would you want to be the person riding this sitting like that at 190km/h?! Tell us what you think!
