MV Agusta to come up with jet-powered motorcycle by 2019?

MV Agusta has certainly gone through ups and downs for the past year but it has resurrected from its downfall and has announced a new product strategy for the near future. The current lineup includes the RVS, RC and RR families but there is a one-off bike in development called the “One to One”. It is called one-off as it implies that if you want one, an order would have to be made and it will not be in any showrooms.

According to CEO Giovanni Castiglioni, the model would be powered by something other than a conventional gas engine and it will not be electric either.

“Alternative propulsion doesn’t mean electric,” he said. “All I can say is it will make a lot of power and noise.”

This has us thinking whether it would be a jet-powered bike but Castiglioni has not confirmed or denied the speculation while talking to the media at the new Brutale 800 RR press launch. “It’s a radically different, never seen before the propulsion-wise project. Not just design, but the way everything works is different,” said Castiglioni. “It’s kind of a mix of everything.”

We are not too sure of how the bike will be like but we can only imagine. What is certain is that it will result in a lot of power and noise. First samples of this special bike can be expected to be finished around the middle of 2019.
