Marc Marquez remains untouchable in Texas!
After all the dust settled, and even though he had to face another sanction which made him drop from “pole position” to fourth on the grid, MotoGP champion Marc Marquez blitzed his way through the field and conquered another win at the Americas GP.
The sixth-straight win in Texas for Marquez was an easy job for the Repsol Honda rider, and the 93 rider was always a step above everyone else, making faster and faster lap times as the race went on.
With Marc Marquez untouchable at the front and crossing the line with seconds to spare, Maverick Viñales (Movistar Yamaha) overcame Andrea Iannone (Ecstar Suzuki) in the fight for second position. The Spanish Yamaha rider had to study when and where he could pass the Suzuki rider, but from the moment Viñales was through, Iannone never had the pace to get back in second spot, so both crossed the finish line in second and third respectively.
As for Malaysian rider Hafizh Syahrin (Monster Yamaha Tech3) a violent crash left him out of the warm up session before the MotoGP race, but the young Malaysian fought through the pain and entered the race with the goal of collecting more points.

Syahrin started well and was inside the points, but a low-side crash at Turn 1 of the Circuit of The Americas, meant Syahrin had to retire from the race. This was the first time this season the MotoGP rookie didn’t collect points.
In the MotoGP standings, the leader is now Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Factory) with 46 points, followed by Marc Marquez with 45 and Maverick Viñales is now third with 41 points in total.
In Moto2, Italian Francesco Bagnaia (SKY VR46 Team) won for the second time this season, beating early race leader and “pole man” Alex Marquez (Marc VDS Estrella Galicia), who despite running away from the rest of the field on the first quarter of the race, lost the pace and was easily passed by Bagnai who then ran away with the lead, winning in Texas.

The last podium spot went to Portuguese star Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM). Oliveira didn’t start well the Americas GP, but as soon as the race went on, Miguel Oliveira started moving up on the list and on the final laps was pushing to reach the second position, but Alex Marquez still had something to use on those final moments and maintained Oliveira in third.
Malaysian riders Khairul Idham Pawi and Zulfhami Khairuddin crossed the finish line in 25th and 27th respectively.
In the Championship standings Francesco Bagnaia is now the leader with 57 points, second in the standings is Mattia Pasini with 47, while Alex Marquez is third also with 47 points.
Jorge Martin never gave a chance to his rivals in the Moto3 race
Also dominant was Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini) during the Moto3 race, who won in front of Enea Bastiannini (Leopard Racing), with the Italian making a great race recovering a lot of spots to finish second, while third place went to Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PruestelGP).
Malaysian rider Adam Norrodin (Petronas Sprinta Racing) didn’t have a race to remember, and an early crash made Norrodin retire from the race.
