Royal Enfield to introduce dark aesthetics with new Thunderbird 500X

The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X gets a makeover and the cruiser now looks much more agressive, ready to take on any journey!

The brand is making a comeback with a more classic design with the parallel-twin engine Interceptor later this year. The bikes from Royal Enfield are mostly of a laidback design, including the Classic series, the vintage Bullet and the Thunderbird.

The regular Thunderbird has attracted the ideas of modification and with the new Thunderbird 500X and the 350X, the brand is offering riders a machine with an attitude. The new styling are prominently implemented and gives the bike a new vibe.

The pulled-back, typical cruiser handlebar from the original motorcycle is replaced by a flat one. It is still slightly forward biased and the handlebars are adjustable. The foot-pegs are set forward, giving riders the opportunity to relax.

The bike now features black alloy wheels with tubeless tires. The tires get a colored stripe running around them too. The side panels are also black, emblazoned with the motorcycle’s name and the fuel tank gets the trademark “Royal Enfield”. Even the silencer is black, bringing the theme together.

It comes with a single seat made with a new material. The seat is wide, allowing for more lateral movement. The pillion seat is smaller and the backrest is now gone.

It is powered by the same 499cc and 346cc mills and is capable of producing 27.2 bhp of power at 5,250rpm and a peak torque of 41.3 Nm at 4,000rpm.
