MotoGP – Andrea Dovizioso and Ducati finally announce an agreement!

Andrea Dovizioso will be with the Ducati team for a total of 8 years by the end of the 2020 season!

It was one of the most awaited announcements in the MotoGP paddock, and there was a time when everyone thought that it wouldn’t end in a good way, but a few moments ago, Ducati confirmed they’ve reached an agreement with Andrea Dovizioso.

The Italian rider has been locked in difficult and hard negotiations with Ducati management in the last few months. Dovizioso obviously wanted a better contract for the next few years, and Ducati was willing to raise his salary, but negotiations went on and on without either Dovizoso or Ducati confirm the deal.

Now, just as we are entering the fifth round of the MotoGP season with the French GP at Le Mans, rider and team announced they will stay together for two more seasons, until the end of 2020, and that will make a total 8 years for Andrea Dovizioso as a “Ducatista”.

Ducati will now concentrate their efforts in securing a teammate for Dovizioso.

Jorge Lorenzo is very near to complete a move to Suzuki, with the help of Monster Energy, and so Ducati has their sights on securing Andrea Iannone or Jack Miller.
