Italian news portal Motociclismo.it has got their hands on a new set of photos that show the new 790 Adventure being ridden on the road, as a part of the development programme the Austrian brand is doing before finally releasing this bike on the road.

This bike features the same in-line twin-cylinder engine from the naked 790 Duke, capable of 105 hp and 86 Nm of torque. But the chassis of the 790 Adventure it’s intended to withstand the harshness of off-road riding, so KTM fitted the engine in their tubular frame, but added long travel suspension and large diameter wheels: 21’’ at the front and 18’’ at the back.

With a design that largely remembers the more powerful 1290 Adventure, this medium sized trail also gets spoked wheels, double disc brakes and radial calipers, a large windscreen (probably as optional equipment) and a trail style seat matched to a fuel tank that seems to take its inspiration on the same unit we can find on the 450 Rally bike KTM uses on the Dakar Rally.

We expect to see the production version of the new KTM 790 Adventure during the EICMA show in Milan, in November.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
