Adam Norrodin
Malaysian young star Adam Norrodin will miss the last round of the Moto3 World Championship. The Petronas Sprint Racing rider decided not to travel to Valencia, so he can get surgery and start recovery right away before he starts working with his new team in CEV Moto2 class of the Spanish Championship.
Norrodin, who rode to a brilliant 7th place at the last Malaysian GP starting from pit lane, before he crashed on the penultimate lap, had all intentions to say goodbye to his fans in Moto3 and to his team at the last race of the season, but after some time he understood that the best solution for his future is to stop right away and recover from injury on his left shoulder
“It’s been a very difficult decision not to race in Valencia, but in the end I had to think about my future and the long term effect of delaying the operation. I’m really sad to be ending my Moto3 career this way; I’ve really enjoyed my time with the team and I wanted to see them one last time and to finish on a high. After my race in Malaysia, I was feeling so motivated to go to Valencia, but in the end I had to think about my future, to make sure that I am physically prepared for it.
Now my focus is on next year and competing in Moto2, in the Spanish Championship, so I want to be 100% fit and ready to start this new chapter in 2019. I wish all the best to my team for the Valencia race – I will be watching and supporting them from home. I want to say thank you to them all for their support over the years and I look forward to seeing them all again soon”, said Norrodin through a press release on the SIC Racing Team Instagram page.
We wish all the best to Adam Norrodin on the way to his full recovery from the injury he is nursing since the Japanese GP in Motegi, and also wish he gets the results in this new adventure on the CEV Moto2 class of the Spanish Championship in 2019.
