The new KTM 690 SMC R brings back supermoto fun!

Although KTM is getting famous for creating bigger bikes like the Adventure 1290 or the 1290 Super Duke R and GT variant, the famous Austrian brand also boasts a few mid-sized models. One of those is the new supermoto 690 SMC R.

Shown at the latest EICMA Milan motorcycle show, the KTM 690 SMC R features a lot of fun for those willing to explore the supermoto limits on the road.

With 74 hp and 73,5 Nm of torque delivered by the single-cylinder LC4 engine, the KTM 690 SMC R supermoto brings back KTM into the supermoto fight. Smoother and more efficient than ever, the latest LC4 engine gets two balance shafts to avoid any undesired vibrations, and the dual spark cylinder head together with fine tuned ride-by-wire throttle means the KTM 690 SMC R rides as smooth as possible.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
