It didn’t take long for Triumph to release the official photos of the new Rocket TFC (Triumph Factory Custom) concept, after the spy photos of this bike testing on the road were published everywhere. The British manufacturer had to react to that leak, and they did so by revealing the new Rocket TFC concept in all its glory.
On a special event for the specialized media that happened in London, Triumph let loose the Rocket TFC concept, a bike that will be produced in limited number for the whole world: Just 750 units will be built at the Hinckley factory!
The Rocket TFC concept marks the return to production of an iconic model for Triumph. The Rocket III ceased production two years ago when the Euro 4 homologation started, and the big cruiser from Triumph couldn’t meet the emission levels required by the Euro 4 rules.
According to Triumph, we will only get the full specs on this bike on May 1st, but until then we’ve already got some of the performance numbers filtered: The triple cylinder engine gets a displacement bump to 2500 cc, and this allows the Rocket TFC concept to set a power figure of over 180 hp, while torque reaches an impressive 230 Nm!
Compared to the old Rocket III, this bike gets a completely new and redesigned chassis. Triumph wants to pit this bike against the class benchmark Ducati Diavel 1260, and so they’ve created a new frame, shorter and more compact. They’ve also installed new suspension units and the brakes are sourced from Brembo, meaning the Rocket TFC concept will use the superb Stylema brake calipers from the Italian brake specialists. At the back, the massive rear tyre is fitted to a single-sided swingarm, that hides inside the transmission shaft.

To make this bike even more special, after all there’s only going to be 750 units, Triumph chose to apply a lot of carbon fiber components like the small front cowl above the double round headlights, full LED of course, while behind that front cowl there’s a full color TFT dashboard taken from the new Scrambler 1200.
As we said, Triumph will only release the full specs list of the Rocket TFC concept in May, but considering this bike is a preview of the next-gen Rocket III, we believe the Hinckley factory might bring the production version of this cruiser to EICMA Milan in November.
Of course the Rocket III will feature lower specs than the Rocket TFC concept, but nonetheless, it’s shaping up to be a true contender to beat the Ducati Diavel 1260.
