2021 Triumph Trident 660 has officially landed in Malaysia! Pricing starts at  RM43,900 and the model will be arriving at showrooms by 21st February 2021!

Triumph Motorcycles presented the Triumph Trident design prototype at the London Design Museum last year in August 2020. Following this, the 2021 Triumph Trident 660 made its global debut in November 2020.

Just 3 months in, Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia has just announced the official pricing details of the Triumph Trident 660. The all-new Trident 660 rolls in with a competitive starting price of RM 43,900 (excluding  road tax, insurance and registration fee) and will be arriving at showrooms this week by 21st February 2021.

For this year, the Trident 660 has been one of the most anticipated bikes in Malaysia. In fact, over 50 Trident 660 units have already been booked!

Speaking of the bike, the new 2021 Triumph Trident 660 follows modern Triumph roaster style and character. Starting with the design, following Triumph’s iconic Trident design DNA, the new Trident 660’s bodywork is muscular yet clean and minimalist. Upfront, the Trident 660 features a 7-inch LED headlamp and a 14L fuel tank with Triumph’s signature knee cut-outs.

The narrow tail section and the blacked-out five-spoke aluminium wheels at the front and rear add a sense of aggressiveness to the midweight roadster. On the inside, the Triumph Trident 660 is built around a lightweight narrow tubular steel frame and comes with a low seat height of 805mm.

The Triumph Trident 660 is powered by a 660cc liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the Trident 660 pushes 80 bhp (60 kW) @ 10,250 rpm & 64 Nm (47 lb-ft) @ 6,250 rpm. Speaking of the 6-speed gearbox, the Trident comes with assist and slipper clutch as standard. Aside from this, Triumph also offers shift assist up & down quick-shifter as an optional accessory for clutchless shift ups & downs.

Moving onto suspension, Showa 41mm upside down separate function forks (SFF) and Showa mono-shock RSU with adjustable preload at the rear take care of suspension duties.

Braking is done via Nissin two-piston sliding callipers with twin 310mm discs up front and  Nissin single-piston sliding calliper with 255mm disc at the rear.

In the case of the electronics and rider aids, the Trident 660 comes with; adjustable traction control, full led lighting, TFT colour instrument cluster,2 riding modes, Dual channel ABS and ride-by-wire throttle as standard.

The 2021 Triumph Trident 660 is offered in 4 colours: Crystal White, Sapphire Black, Silver Ice/Diablo Red and Stealthy Matt Jet Black/Matt Silver Ice.

The solid colour choices [Crystal White, Sapphire Black] are priced at RM43,900 in Malaysia excluding road tax, insurance and registration fee. Meanwhile the dual-tone [Silver Ice/Diablo Red and Stealthy Matt Jet Black/Matt Silver Ice] roll in with a showroom price of RM44,900 excluding road tax, insurance and registration fee.

Warranty: Triumph offers a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty with the Trident 660.

Ownership (Service):  With the new engine, the Trident 660 comes with a service interval of 10,000 miles / 16,000 km. This is between 20%-65% higher than its competitors in the market.

Accessories: Triumph also offers 45 Trident dedicated aftermarket accessories to bump up the game!
