2019 Honda 500 series now available in Malaysia

Boon Siew Honda announced that the new 2019 Honda 500 series are now available in Malaysia. The CBR500R, CB500F, and CB500X all have big improvements.

Boon Siew Honda introduced the 2019 versions of Honda 500 series trio. The CBR500R, CB500F, and the CB500X are now available on Honda authorized dealers in Malaysia. In an event held today, BSW highlighted to members of the press the details of these three bikes.

Sharing the same powertrain, a parallel twin cylinder engine, these 500’s offer good performance, and great mileage. With 37 kW of power and 45 Nm of torque, the engine offers great response from lower revs. On higher revs, the twin cylinder howls just like a true performance machine.

The new highlights common to all three Honda’s are Anti-lock braking system (ABS), new rear suspension, assist/slipper clutch, full LED lighting and modernized LCD instruments with gear position and shift-up indication.

Added safety measures include an emergency stop signal. Front and rear hazards are activated upon sudden braking to warm any nearby vehicles.

Honda 500 series is a huge success all over the world. They’ve been introduced in 2013 and since then motorcyclists have accepted these lightweight machines and made the bestsellers. It also helps that there’s a different model for everyone.

The CBR500R is a middleweight sport machine that isn’t so aggressive as bigger supersport models. Its aggressive design is one of the main features. As for the CB500F, it’s an urban naked. Easy to use riding in town, the CB500F is also very economical with low fuel consumption. Last but not least the CB500X is a bike for the adventure rider. Although it’s not so off-road ready, the CB500X has sturdy suspensions to cope with light off-road riding.

Boon Siew Honda also confirmed the price for each version. The CBR500R costs RM34.499. The CB500F costs RM33.999. The CB500X costs RM36.099. Each model is available in different color options.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
