Kymco set to usher into 2019 with new electric superbike SuperNEX

https://youtu.be/gtEGU-y41mc The new year is set to bring us various new models and surprises to keep us going. The previous year 2018 had been a whirlwind with new and amazing introductions of models alongside new start-ups to quench our thirst for something out of the ordinary. With that being said, the year 2019 is bagged with more new concepts and models, especially in the electric motorcycle segment. One of the game-changers is scooter specialist Kymco and their SuperNEX sports bike, which has us all up in our feet, aching to know more about their new model. Kymco unveiled the SuperNEX superbike at the EICMA and it definitely surpassed the expectations of everyone. Merely months after its entry to the electric scooter market, the firm had already ventured into performance motorcycles. The SuperNEX features a six-speed manual gearbox and slipper clutch that comes with a quick shifter and auto-blipper, in order to make the riding experience better. Considering that electric bikes are known for delivering huge amounts of torque from zero revs, it usually reaches the peak power in the mid-range, so the bike runs out of puff and higher RPMs, which affects the top speed. With the six gears, the SuperNEX can hold on to maximum power for longer just by shifting up. It can reach 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds and 0-150 mph in just 10.9 seconds. The date of the release is yet to be confirmed but it is likely that the firm will be keeping us updated with its progress within the year.
