Monday, 9th March 2020 – Modenas Malaysia announces more than 10% price reduction for the Modenas Pulsar RS200 and Modenas Dominar D400. 

Modenas Pulsar RS200 and Dominar D400 Price Reduction

Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (“MODENAS”) announced earlier today a price reduction.  Price reduction of more than  10% for the Modenas Pulsar RS200 and the Modenas Dominar D400.

The new 2020 Modenas model Pulsar RS200 is a fully-faired motorcycle, while the Modenas Dominar D400 is a sport-tourer. Both models feature an in-line single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected DTS-i engines mated to a 6-speed gearbox. On top of this, the bikes are also equipped with ByBre front single-channel ABS. Both the Modenas Pulsar RS200 and Modenas Dominar D400 pack an array of premium hardware such as a strong and light steel-pressed perimeter steel frame and uniquely placed underbelly exhaust to provide the extra stability and better control of the bike when cornering.

The Price Reduction for Malaysia

The new prices would come into effect starting from 8th March 2020. The Modenas Pulsar RS200 will be priced at Rm 9,990, which is Rm 1,360 /12% lower from the previous pricing.  Meanwhile, the D400 will be priced at RM13,788, which is RM1,700 or 11% lower than before.

“Through improvements in our production process, we have managed to significantly bring down the manufacturing costs for the Modenas Pulsar RS200 and Modenas Dominar D400 models, and MODENAS is passing these cost savings to all two-wheel enthusiasts to make both these popular models much more affordable in Malaysia,” says Roslan.

Apart from the price reduction, MODENAS is planning to boost its sales by expanding its product portfolio.  Also, its reach through the opening of new dealerships.  On top of this, MODENAS is planning to introduce five to eight new models (bikes and variants) to the Malaysian market in the current calendar year.
