This unique presence at Silverstone follows Jake Dixon riding Franco Morbidelli’s bike after Cal Crutchlow was promoted to the factory team; with the official and instant departure of Maverick Viñales. The 23-year-old joined the team for his Moto3 debut, representing them for three seasons in the less powerful category of the world championship. During that time he recorded seven races in the top ten and one fastest lap at his 2017 home GP. Norrodin’s most recent appearance in the Malaysian structure was in 2019. It was when he made his Moto2 debut as a replacement rider for the last six races. He currently races in the FIM CEV in Moto2 and occupies fifth place in the overall standings; after having already registered three podiums.
