When he arrived in Jerez this weekend, he had eight consecutive victories. Despite the unbeaten streak he maintained in race nine, the dominant series ended with a second-place finish in race ten. Interestingly, it was in the only race that he had not won so far that made him a champion. Following the championship weekend, he commented on what had happened: – It was a very difficult race and in very difficult conditions, as it was very hot. The slopes were very hot and my body accused it. Still, I’m satisfied with the victory and with the weekend we were able to do. I dedicate this race [first heat, which won], to Hugo Millán. Today [Sunday] was incredible, being European champion at the FIM CEV Repsol is a dream. Many thanks to all my team for the work done and to my family for their support, as well as to my sponsors.
