Yamaha has revealed the updated MT-10 and MT-10 SP 2022 with more powerful engines and new designs.

The recent filing of documents by Yamaha confirms this great news. According to the document, the Yamaha MT-10 and MT-10 SP models are known by the RN78 A and RN78 B codes. This replaces the RN45 A and RN45 B codes used for the previous models.

The specifications show that the SP and standard versions have more premium components yet both models are still powered by a 998cc CP4 engine taken from the YZF-R1. However, the document revealed that the new generation model is much more powerful than its counterpart. It is capable of delivering 164hp and 112Nm, compared to the previous 158.2hp and 111Nm.

The all-new exhaust system is likely to have contributed to the increase in power. At the same time, this increase in power has also increased the maximum speed of the machine to 250km/h. Previously the top speed was 245km/h.

The document does not reveal a picture of the new model. However, looking at the dimensions stated, the MT-10 2022 is definitely expected to come with a brand new design in line with the updates implemented on the MT-07 and MT-09 2021 variants.

Meanwhile, it also stipulates that the new generation model is 2 kilograms heavier with 212kg for the standard model and 214kg for the SP model.
