The Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 has arrived at the official Suzuki Malaysia distributor with a price of RM111,200. The price was announced by several official Suzuki Malaysia distributors on the Facebook social network today.

The 2021 third-generation Hayabusa comes with the use of full LED lights in both front and rear.

Suzuki also upgraded the 1,340cc Hayabusa 4-inline engine to achieve the Euro 5 standard which now offers 187.4hp at 9,700rpm and 150Nm at 7,000rpm.

The figure is slightly down compared to the second-generation Hayabusa which offers 194hp and 155Nm. However, the 16 valve DOHC engine with liquid cooling is now more durable and offers more efficient oil combustion and is able to record a maximum speed (nominal) of 299km/h.

Among the reform measures taken was to reduce the 1mm diameter in the throttle body and extend the length of the intake pipe to 12mm. According to Suzuki, the move smoothes out the engine power flow at low and medium speeds.

The use of the Suzuki Side Feed Injector (S-SFI) also contributes to its increased power output as well as torque. The Hayabusa 2021 also comes with a Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle system and Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) that help improve engine response and ensure more efficient gear changes.

Interestingly, Suzuki retains the use of a twin-spar frame and an aluminium-type swingarm.

Other features of the new Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 include:

  • KYB front fork (upside down) with Diamond-Like-Carbon coating
  • KYB rear monoshock
  • Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tires
  • a combination of analog type meter and color TFT screen
  • Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS)
  • Bosch IMU 6-axis
  • Launch Control
  • Cruise Control (between 31km/h to 200km/h)
  • Combined Brake System
  • Slope Dependent Control System
  • Hill Hold Control System
  • Emergency Stop Signal
