Looks like Confederate Motors will be having a new name.

The firm, based in Alabama is said to be home to one of the most amazingly designed motorcycles in the world. Not to mention, it has been the choice of many famous celebrities such as Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise.

However, due to the extreme backlash in the Southern states of the USA suggesting for white supremacy, its image is in need of reform.

“I think we lost a lot of business with that name,” said Confederate Motors president H. Matthew.

Confederate Motors will be renamed Curtiss Motorcycles after the famous aviator Glenn Curtiss, famous for going up against the Wright Brothers in a bid to dominate the skies. It also will be focusing on a greener image in cooperation with Zero Motorcycles.

Also, a new bike from the firm is said to be in the making. In spite of that, no further discussion has been done.
