National rider, Zaqhwan Zaidi has returned to participate in the Suzuka 8 Hours race after two years as it was not organized due to the COVID-19 epidemic that hit the world.

Zaqhwan, who had just completed a two-day test at the Suzuka Circuit, Japan, said he was satisfied with the results, as this was the first time the Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA team tested the machinery.

“The two-day Suzuka 8 Hours test is over,” said Zaqhwan. “I’m happy to be back here after two years of not racing in Suzuka. Thank you Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA for the hard work.

The Suzuka 8 Hours 2022 race is back on the FIM EWC calendar from 5 to 7 August.

In the test session, Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA joined by Zaqhwan and Gerry Salim finished the third session by being 14th before 18th fastest in the evening.
