Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer Ola Electric has expanded its line of electric scooters by launching the most affordable model S1 for 2022 which is sold at an introductory price of 99,999 rupees (RM5,620).

The appearance of this scooter looks similar to the S1 Pro. The scooter comes with similar components as well with some minor changes to make the model more affordable.

The S1 is powered by an 8.5kW electric motor, the same as the S1 Pro, but the maximum speed is limited to 95 km/h.
The riding distance for one full charge is 128km in Eco mode, while Normal mode can be ridden as far as 101km, and the Sport mode, 90km. However, this entry-level electric scooter does not have a Hyper mode like the S1 Pro.

Furthermore, the scooter comes with Bluetooth connectivity for linked navigation access via smartphone. Despite that, there is no tracking feature. Applications can be updated online (OTA) through Move OS3 which is scheduled to be introduced later in October.

This scooter is available in five colours, namely Porcelain White (white), Jet Black (black), Neo Mint, Coral Glam, and Liquid Silver (silver).

Pre-orders are now open and shipping will begin next month. Ola Electric expects to gain a lot of sales and market share.
