The Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L is among the best adventure motorcycles out there in the circle. It combines comfort and top notch engineering to produce a magnificent ride for the two-wheeler enthusiasts out there.

Honda has generally limited its off-road motorcycle ideas to small-dirt bikes and has even come up with on-road dual-sport motorcycles but nothing outshines the Africa Twin and its pride. The Japanese brand brings competition to the field and stands on par with some of the greatest brands in the segment, including BMW, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Ducati. Honda has definitely stepped up its game.

The bike features a 998cc twin-cylinder engine that produces an output of 94hp and 72 ft lbs of torque. The Africa Twin gives riders the choice between the standard 6-speed sequential manual transmission or Honda’s propriety 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (despite the large-scale head shake from the seasoned riders). However, the latter transmission provides an easier shifting during road-rides, unlike the manual one.

Riders will be able to get through deeper sand and larger obstacles with the help of the dual-clutch capability as riders won’t have the need to stall the engine. It makes slower speeds much better to handle.

The bike also comes with a 45mm inverted Showa long-travel forks that have 9-inches of suspension travel and a single Pro-Link shock at the rear, capping about 8.7 inches of travel. This allows the bike to travel for long distances and makes highways far more satisfying. The Africa Twin is also mated to knobby tires and a 5-gallon long-range gas tank. What a swift bike! Definitely packed and ready for an adventure at all times.
