Harley-Davidson invests in Californian electric bike firm Alta Motors

Latest news surrounding the two-wheeler industry is that American top gun Harley-Davidson has announced the acquisition of Californian firm, Alta Motors. The company specializes in electric bikes and has been doing so for about eight years.

“Earlier this year, as part of our 10-year strategy, we reiterated our commitment to build the next generation of Harley-Davidson riders, in part, by aggressively investing in electric vehicle (EV) technology,” said Harley CEO Matt Levatich in a statement.

“Alta has demonstrated innovation and expertise in EV and their objectives align closely with ours. We each have strengths and capabilities that will be mutually beneficial as we work together to develop cutting-edge electric motorcycles.”

According to speculations, Harley may be using the name “Revelation” for its new electric motorcycle since the firm had just recently trademarked the name.
