Honda Japan launches first ever hybrid scooter

In case you missed out, great news from Honda Japan as the firm has launched its new PCX scooter. Much like its predecessors, the PCX features the same old 125cc mill but has a twist to its newer form with an all new hybrid powertrain. As such, Honda Motor will be the first manufacturer to launch a production hybrid scooter and it was first showcased at the Tokyo Auto Show.

The new feature will assist the 125cc motor by cutting emissions and increasing fuel efficiency. It will also produce intense acceleration. It will come with a “D” and “S” drive mode and is expected to give 122mpg, 3mpg more than the standard 125. As for the exterior, the new PCX is similar to the PCX 150 as it gets more curves than lines and also a brand new LED lighting setup all around the body. The LED headlight is accompanied by a pair of long LED turn signals. The bike aso has a new decent LCD instrumentation, a helmet hook, a 12-V charging socket, larger under seat storage, and a small storage space in the front apron of the scooter.
