It was just a matter of time until we heard something like this, but this is great news for all the Ducatisti around the world! According to sources well connected inside the Bologna based manufacturer, we should expect to see a new Streetfighter naked bike soon, and powering this new Ducati is going to be the V4 engine of the Panigale.

Ducati CEO, Claudio Domenicali said at the launch of the new Panigale V4 that this engine would be used on new models Ducati was working on, so it’s no surprise to us that one of those “new models” is the acclaimed Streetfighter.

Information about this next-gen Ducati Streetfighter V4 isn’t much, but attending to the fact that Ducati already has on its line-up a powernaked, the Monster 1200 R, boasting 160 hp from the V-twin engine, we should expect to see this supernaked hit the asphalt with a power no less than 180 hp.

All the chassis parts should derive from the Panigale, so the behavior of the Ducati Streetfighter will be highly aggressive.

The bike we see illustrating this article was created by JSD Designs, but Ducati should be working on a design very much like this one.

Is the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 showing its shape and power in EICMA, Milan, in November? We certainly hope so!

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
