The Ducati Scrambler 1100 garnered much attention during its unveil at the EICMA Motor Show last year and speculations suggest that the bike may be set to be launched in South Asia- India. Several spy images have been caught and it seems like the motorcycle is expected to arrive at dealerships in the nearest future.
The bike is available in three variants globally, namely the Standard, Special and Sport. However, only base and Sports variants is expected to be launched in India soon and the Special variant will be set for sale later.
The Sport variant is mainly for bike enthusiasts that seek high quality performance. The bike comes with a high-performance Ohlins suspension as both ends and aluminum wheels with machine-finished spokes. It also has tapered handlebars and a seat with a dedicated lining. The bike gets a Viper Black paint scheme with yellow tank sides and dual yellow striping down the middle of the tank and mudguards.
The Special variant however, has a brushed-effect swingarm and adjustable front forks with golden anodized sleeves. It has a custom grey scheme with blacked-out spoked wheels, chrome exhausts and aluminum front and rear mudgards.
All three bikes have an all-new headlight with an LED ring around the rim that acts as DRLs, and an LED tail lam. Whereas te electronics package includes five-level traction control, three riding modes – Active, Touring and City, inertial measurement unit (IMU) and cornering ABS.
The bikes feature an updated version of the two-valve air/oil-cooled 1079cc L-twin engine from the Monster 1100 EVO. It is capable of producing 86PS of power at 7500rpm and 88.4Nm of torque at 4750rpm.
